I am so happy to share with you all my first maternity session from my Saskatoon Studio. I moved home to Saskatoon this past summer and my studio has been a work in progress for awhile now and it is slowly coming along. I had beautiful Allison and her sweet son Franklin join me for a sweet intimate session a couple of weeks ago. My girl Jackelyn Mclean did the make up for the shoot and I just love the sweet simplicity of how it all turned out. Alison has such a bond with Franklin that I was happy to document. A new baby is about to join the family and that mother son first born bond is about to grow and change. I remember when I brought Tucker home from the hospital I would just look at Jack and start bawling for no reason other than crazy postpartum hormones and feeling bad that I had not spent enough time soaking him in, my first and only child for 2.5 years. The time spent one on one with a baby will never be the same once your family grows and its amazing but cherishing that initial motherhood bond is something so special. I think I managed to capture that with these two.
